Dr. Natalie Hoshi received her Doctorate of Optometry from the Southern California College of Optometry (SCCO) in 2008. During her time at SCCO, she was involved with the Student Association Board as a director for school-wide events, functions and social activities. Her clinical rotations brought her to various sites: Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield CA, the Veteran's Affairs Hospital in Tucson AZ and the United States Naval Hospital in Yokosuka Japan.
Dr. Hoshi's certification and skills allow her to practice at the highest level of her profession. She is certified to treat and manage ocular disease such as dry eyes, red eyes, eye allergies, infections and glaucoma. Dr. Hoshi is trained to fit specialty contact lenses, ortho-keratology (sometimes called corneal refractive therapy) and vision therapy.
Dr. Hoshi loves working with children, which motivated her to pursue further specialization and training in pediatrics. She completed a residency in Pediatric and Infant Vision at State University of New York State, College of Optometry in 2009. Dr. Hoshi's specialized training enhanced her ability to diagnose and treat eye conditions commonly seen in children. She joined the Vision Therapy and Pediatric Vision Care faculty at the Eye Care Center at Southern California College of Optometry in 2012.
Dr. Hoshi is currently a fellow in the American Academy of Optometry. She is also a member of the San Gabriel Valley Optometric Society, the American Optometric Association, the College of Optometrists in Vision Development, the Asian American Optometric Society, and the California Optometric Association.
In her free time, Dr. Hoshi enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and twin boys.
